The struggle between comfort and style is often a nightmare I find myself contemplating on a daily basis. I do tend to opt for the more fashionable approach and immediately regret my choices after leaving the house, wishing I was wearing a pair of joggers. I’ve thrown together 4 looks that appear to be cute yet comfy, which is often the issue with these snug items. Some of these have been staples that are well loved in my wardrobe and other clothing pieces are on my wish list. Feel free to style these with any accessories and your favourite pair of trainers, my chosen ones are the Nike Air Force 1’07s.
1. The perfect co-ord
This piece from Tala I have been wanting since it first launched on the website, it contains the perfect mixture of fashion and snug with the stripes on the sleeves and the subtle logo detail on the back of cropped hoodie. The set comes in the standard colours of black and white, and paired with a small backpack makes the perfect day outfit for no matter what you have got planned. Besides the softness of this matching co-ord the best part is its sustainability, as it is made out of up cycled materials, meaning that it not only makes you look your best but helps the environment as well.
2. The oversized cardigan
This outfit is more of a laid-back look but is still super cute due to the oversized cardigan. The cardigan shown above is slightly different to the one I own, as I couldn’t find mine that I purchased from Forever 21 a couple years back; however, any knitted baggy cardigan will work. Because of the length of the cardigan I decided to pair it with a basic pair of black leggings, giving them from afar the appearance of jeans, as they remain partly covered underneath. To go with the cardigan, I have chosen the Gymshark energy seamless leggings in black, a staple item I often reach for as once they are on it feels like I am wearing nothing, which is alarming but allows for maximum comfort. Pair this look with a black crop top to finish it off, as you are probably beginning to learn by now I love the sleek appearance of a co-ord.
3. Cute in Khaki
These cargo pants have become my new replacement for jeans as they are stretchier and less tight fitting, as well as being the latest edgy trend. These days you can buy them in all sorts of colours; however, I went for the classic khaki. Pair with a cropped sweater of any colour, and you’ll have a trendy outfit, which looks like you put consideration into.
4. The cosy sweater dress
This is one of my favourite things to wear, as its basically like wearing a blanket all day. For extra comfort, size up and wear a belt to hug your figure whilst still being comfy in your life-sized duvet. For winter months combine this outfit with tights, chunky hiker boots and layer with a scarf for warmth. The summer equivalent of this look is a t shirt dress, which has the same feel but stops you from sweating in the sunshine.
